Dressing Up Casually

I am truly a girly girl. I don’t like getting dirty for fun and I primarily enjoy sports for the food, cute sport jerseys and parties (my confession). Nonetheless, I really like adding a boyish feel to my wardrobe from time to time to keep things fun and unpredictable.

Distressed jeans are trending now and at an entirely different level. They are rough, creatively ragged and sexy at the same time. You can buy them or make them.

As rugged as they are, you can still get a polished look when sporting the distressed denim look.

You can easily pair your distressed jeans with almost anything from sequins and t-shirts to blazers and diamonds.

I paired these homemade distressed jeans with a pair of square heels, a Ralph Lauren collard shirt and a simple blazer. To keep the relaxed theme going, I went for a simple leather cross shoulder pouch for my purse.

No belt was needed since my goal was to maintain an easy look. My style plan was funky, boyish and girly rolled up into one ensemble.

If you are considering a distressed look but concerned about it being too casual, try adding dressier elements to give your relaxed look a lift.

Enjoy your style!
