A Long Sleeve Satin Dress for First Fall Breezes

The idea of wearing satin for fall sounds obscured, when in fact the first thought that comes to mind for the fall season is cooler weather and warmer outfits.

In the south, we have longer summers and warmer weather that can span as far as April to mid-October. However, as the temperature slowly cools down, only a light layer of clothes is needed to be comfortable. We are generally not ready to pull out the scarves and jackets for a little while.

Long sleeve satin maxi dresses and satin blouses are trending for those early first fall breezes. It’s usually cooler in the mornings and late evenings but warms up well after Noon. So satin long sleeves are perfect for the entire day during the first phase of fall.

My pick for this post is a satin long sleeve dress. The flowiness of the satin in the light fall breeze has that pretty luxurious feel.

When I saw this bright red satin material embellished with zebra prints, taking it home was a no brainer. The design makes such a big, bold statement. It reminds me that even though we are going into the colder winter months, neutrals are not the only options to pick.

I paired this beauty with a pair of crisscross wedge slides with an open toe. I will keep slipping on a sandal until it’s too cold to do so.

It’s so much fun to mix and match outfits to fit two different season’s crossing paths. It’s the only time we get to crisscross outfits and still be comfortable and stylish. Dressing practically for the season change is not either-or but both, until the temperature outside agrees with our calendars and makes us choose.
