Easy Tips for a New Home Do-Over and Why You Should Have a Blast Doing it

Once I realized living on my own without a spouse was a real thing, I began to switch gears in my mind about how my daughter and I would live. EVERY aspect of our lives was now in my hands. At first, I was totally overwhelmed and numbed. Nonetheless, I decided to see all the opportunities that living divorced offered. Although challenging, this was an open door for a lot of exciting changes.

Making a new home for me and my daughter was one of the best privileges to start with. It was important that our lives were stable and that we were in a good home to heal in.

I began my home makeover shopping online first, to reduce running around from store to store to simply browse. This route is extremely important so that I use my time wisely. I can do most of my product comparison and browsing online once my daughter is down for the night with a movie and my favorite beverage. My go to online shops likely offer free delivery, and assembly options.

I aim to find quality but reasonably priced decor for our new home. Take advantage of coupons that come in the mail for being a new resident at your new address. Also, Before I hit the buy button, I do a search for e-coupon codes to apply at checkout.

The best times to shop is during holidays and special store events such as anniversary sales. If I do not feel comfortable with what I can expect in the quality of a product, I spend time reading reviews, the 1 stars first. From there I decided whether I can live with the downside of purchasing the products mentioned in the reviews for the price.

Although shopping online is ideal, I am largely a touchy feely type of shopper, so I plan my week to do multiple errands in a particular area to drop in and do in person shopping when looking at pretty photos becomes too much.

Based on what I feel our priorities are, I begin with the little things. Pillows, bar stools, throws and plants are classic neutral pieces that gives you the opportunity to spruce up your home on a dime as you work your way up to more elaborate big-ticket furniture.

I am a big food fan so putting out fresh colorful fruit adds color to the decor and they are easy grabs for snacks.

I am always on the lookout for deals at the best home décor shops, discount stores as well as spotting timeless antiques at vintage and thrifts stores.

Bringing new life to your living space can be very exciting and adventurous. Look on the bright side of everything and enjoy life.
