We Closed On Our New Home!

New House Closing Day

We closed on our new home! The housing market in our part of the world has changed drastically since the pandemic. Regardless, I wanted to own a home. I didn’t think it would actually happen now, but my daughter and I kept visualizing it and tumbling the idea around in our minds for years of what it would feel like to paint the rooms any color we wanted and even have a big enough backyard.

Nevertheless, I deeply believed our home would manifest once I met my spouse. (Follow us on social media if you missed the latest on this). So I realized I needed to be patient enough to allow all my life pieces to come together at the precise moment.

The timeline:

Everything happened so smoothly and quickly that we are still baffled. I called a realtor I had in mind and scheduled a time to view homes at the beginning of the week. My realtor sent us listings to drill through to narrow down our search.
That Monday afternoon, we viewed three homes and made an offer on the last house (our dream home). The next morning, our realtor informed us that our offer was accepted over another offer. Ten days later, we closed on our new home.

There was a lot to do between our offer acceptance to closing day, but it was worth it.

Stay hopeful!

Although this is the most unlikely time in the market to buy, we are not regretting anything. There is a new normal in the market today, and although it took us a little time to adjust, we have accepted it and see all the amazing opportunities we have by owning a home.

If you are still in the dreaming and hoping stage, get ready. You can only receive what you can see before you see it with your eyes. So keep dreaming, keep believing, and don’t try to figure out HOW it will happen.
